What this site collects
You can read this site without an account. I do not use advertising trackers or general website analytics, and there is no newsletter to join. Using the AI assistant is optional; its question logging is explained below. Hosting logs are described separately.
One story carries a video that plays only when you press play. Nothing loads from YouTube before that. When you do press play, YouTube loads its player and may set its own cookies, under YouTube’s own privacy terms.
If you use the AI assistant
You can ask questions without giving your name or contact details. I record questions and AI answers, suggested next actions, the page and conversation context, the date and time, and technical details including the model, response speed and estimated cost. This helps me improve the answers and understand what visitors find useful. These records are not linked to a named account, and my question log does not include your IP address.
Optional measurement is off by default. If you turn on “Share optional usage details” in the assistant, I also record approximate country, device type, browser language, referral category, approved campaign labels, suggested actions shown or clicked, and any feedback you give. I use this information to understand demand, improve the site and identify where a direct conversation could help. I do not store raw IP addresses, precise location or a browsing history.
With that optional setting on, OpenAI also helps summarise the questions and answers, topics, missing information and professional context you explicitly volunteer. Obvious email addresses and phone numbers are removed before this analysis, but it is not guaranteed to be anonymous. I review these interpretations; they do not establish who you are or make decisions about you. You can switch optional measurement off at any time for future questions and actions.
Questions from the same conversation are grouped using a random reference. Please do not include names, contact details or confidential information: anything you type becomes part of the question, so I cannot promise anonymity if you choose to identify yourself.
The assistant uses session storage in your browser tab to keep the conversation as you move between pages. Closing the tab clears this storage. Starting a new chat clears the conversation shown in the assistant, but does not delete the question records described here.
OpenAI processes the conversation to generate answers. I keep conversation records, optional measurements, review notes and derived insights in a private, access-controlled database for up to 90 days. Derived insights are removed when their underlying records expire. OpenAI’s storage of conversation responses is separate; stored responses normally remain for 30 days. You can read more in OpenAI’s data guidance.
If you email me
Your message and your address sit in my mailbox, hosted by my email provider. I keep correspondence while a conversation is live, and afterwards for as long as I have a business reason to, then delete it. I do not add anyone to a mailing list.
If you book a conversation
The booking link takes you to Motion, a scheduling service, which collects the details you give it under its own privacy notice. I see the resulting appointment.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. I do not use them for anything else.
Your rights, and who to complain to
TalentOptima Ltd is the data controller, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration ZB908962. You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to my holding it, by writing to info@talentoptima.co. If you are not satisfied with how I respond, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
